It is impossible to forget the passion of the 2002 FIFA World Cup co-hosted by Korea and Japan, when all Koreans became “Red Devils” and cheered passionately and their team realised the dream of making it to the semi-finals for the first time. At the entrance to the stadium, dolhareubang (stone grandfathers) greet visitors。The playing field was built below ground level to prevent any problems from the wind, and a desk is built outside the stadium to which people can escape in an emergency. With its backdrops of the blue ocean and Mount Halla, it was praised by media around the world as one of the most beautiful World Cup Stadiums, and is now the home ground for Jeju United FC. 

2002年韩日世界杯的激情让人无法忘怀，韩国队创造了首次进入世界杯四强的神话，全体国民们都变成了“红魔”，无所保留地释放出他们的热情。在进入体育场的路口站着一排石头爷爷，欢迎游客的到来。体育场建于地下，解决了风的问题，体育场外部建有人行道板设施，紧急情况时易于避险。蓝色的大海与汉拿山完美和谐，是获得世界媒体公认的最美丽的世界杯体育场之一，目前作为济州联合fc的主场使用。
